INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS

All manuscripts should be written in English and submitted in four copies including a diskette (MS Office Format). Manuscripts may also be submitted to the editor by e-mail as file attachments.  Upon acceptance of a submitted article to BCA , the author(s) will have to transfer the copyright to the publisher. There will be no page charges.

ORGANIZATION OF THE MANUSCRIPT

All manuscripts should be typed double spaced on size A4 pages with margins of 2.5 cm around the text. The title should be clear, informative and concise.  It should be in capital letters.  The author’s name should appear below the title in the form: Given Name, Family Name.  The author’s affiliations should appear directly below the name, in English, giving the name of the institution, department and complete postal address. A fax number and e-mail address should also be included.  If there is more than one author, the corresponding author should be indicated with an asterisk and a phone, fax and e-mail address should be given, in addition to the full affiliation address.

The article should be accompanied by an abstract of 150-200 words.  This should be a single paragraph, concisely stating the main objectives of the investigation, the methodology employed, a summary of the results and the principal conclusions.  The body of the article should be organized in the following manner:  Introduction, Experimental, Results and Discussion, Supplementary Material (if necessary), Acknowledgements and References.

A graphical abstract of about 50 words with a selected figure should also be submitted with the manuscript and will appear in the contents of each volume.

ILLUSTRATIONS

Photographs should be used sparingly.  All illustrations must be submitted as original drawings and must be numbered in sequence using Arabic numerals.  Each illustration must be referred to in the text and must be provided with a caption giving sufficient information about the Figure to be understood without reference to the text.  Desktop publishing software in TIFF Format should be used.

TABLES

All tables must be numbered in sequence using Arabic numerals both in the text and in the heading of each table. The heading should be sufficiently informative for the table to be understood without reference to the text.

REFERENCES

References should be placed at the end of the manuscript, inside square brackets [ ], in a separate reference list. References in the text should also be in brackets.  Titles of Books and Journals should be in Italics.Titles of Articles should not be given. 

Volume Numbers should be in bold

Example:  G. Malandrinos, M. Louloudi, Y. Deligiannakis and N. Hadjiliadis, Inorg. Chem, 40, 4588 (2001)
