MODELLING FOR APPLICATIONS SYSTEM DESIGN

This special issue stems from our belief that users are central to the design of computer software, and that developing models of users have the potential to inform software design. A wide range of approaches and research fields is represented, notably simulation modelling, information systems, and operational research. At the same time, all are united by the realisation that the user should be placed centrally in any software design.
